Our story
The nostalgic yearning for those unforgettable childhood years brought Gwerna farmstall to fruition 16 years ago.
The seed had already been planted many years ago in my own mother’s kitchen where the large rusks were steaming on a wooden table and the chutney simmered in pots on the coal stove. The smell of freshly baked cookies and golden peaches on drying racks in the sun…
The remembrance… and the aromas!
I wanted to capture the nostalgia in my baking and products; for our children and grandchildren, and for the golden- agers so that they may also experience those memories again.
Circumstance brought the need for an online shop to light, one which gives easier access to my products and the fresh products from the orchards of the Langkloof. I hope you will also benefit from it!
